iKey also manufacture a range of devices to reduce the risk of failure in hazardous areas. The Intrinsically Safe PM-1000-IS is designed to meet NEMA 4X specifications, which means that the keyboard is resistant to dirt, dust, water, ice and corrosive liquids.
The PM-1000-IS features 116-key functionality, including 24 function keys which provide the user greater usability.
This Intrinsically Safe keyboard is framed in stainless steel to ensure optimal durability and waterproof functionality. It is designed to meet NEMA 4X specifications meaning that the keyboard is resistant to dust, dirt, water, ice and corrosive solutions enabling this industrial keyboard to survive the roughest of conditions.
Further to this, the industrial keyboard has Factory Mutual approval for Class I, II and III, Division I, Groups C, D, E, F and G. The PM-1000-IS includes optical isolated barriers and bulkhead cables for complete protection in hazardous locations.
